Barbie’s had a number of different looks over the years, but her latest reincarnation is drawing the ire of some parents.

Tokidoki Barbie, marketed as a collector’s item for $50, sports tattoos on her neck and a pink bob. She also comes with a black skull-and-bones tee shirt, leopard leggings and sky-high sparkly silver shoes, and is the result of Barbie’s collaboration with Simone Legno of the Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand Tokidoki, the Huffington Post reported.

Women’s apparent need to gossip is apparently natural. According to a new book, ladies have a basic evolutionary need to voice concerns about others to their peers. John L. Locke wrote in Duels and Duets that the desire stems from a deeper need to protect the community they live in. He explained, “One study of gossip showed that gossipers were concerned about women who are bad housekeepers, and women who are bad mothers, and women who are promiscuous. Those things are all threats to each woman in a community; therefore they have every good reason to want to talk about those things.”

As a teaser for his upcoming new hits collection, called Ultimate Hits: Rock And Roll Never Forgets, Bob Seger has released to radio the track “Hey Hey Going Back to Birmingham” — a cover of the Little Richard classic recorded by the Silver Bullet Band a few years back. Most fans are probably aware of the song from the Beatles’ 1964 rendition — which featured the song in medley with Wilbert Harrison’s “Kansas City” — which is how the “Fab Four” saw Richard perform it in Hamburg.

There’s no definitive word as to whether Seger’s version will be part of the new double-disc Ultimate Hits collection due out next month, as there’s still no tracklist announced for the new compilation.

Peter Frampton will receive a star on Nashville’s Music City Walk of Fame on October 22nd. That night, Frampton will close out his North American Frampton Comes Alive 35 North American dates at the city’s Ryman Auditorium. Vintage Vinyl News reported that Frampton was selected in tribute to “those from all genres of music who have made significant contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville.”

Frampton, who lived in Nashville in the ’90s and lost most of his guitars and priceless equipment during the city’s recent flood, has been auctioning off the water-damaged guitars to raise money for local musicians and emergency responders.

Now that October has arrived and Halloween is just a few weeks away, it’s time to start thinking about what costume to wear this year. The International Business Times put together a list of what it believes the top 10 Halloween costumes will be this year, guided by input from leading industry sources:

9. Ron Paul — The perennial GOP presidential candidate has helped make his libertarian ideas that once were viewed as loopy gain popularity.
10. Amy Winehouse — Winehouse is gone, but homage can be paid on Halloween, including with a wig based on her fabulous beehive hairdo.

The DVD/Blu-ray will give fans the complete Taylor Swift Speak Now concert experience, showcasing performances of all 17 songs from Taylor’s Speak Now show (“Sparks Fly,” “Mine,” “Story of Us,” “Our Song,” “Mean,” Back To December,” “Better Than Revenge,” “Speak Now,” “Fearless,” “Last Kiss,” “You Belong With Me,” “Dear John,” Enchanted,” “Haunted, “Long Live,” “Fifteen,” and “Love Story”), plus additional bonus content. The CD will contain over 75 minutes of music, including live versions of favorites from the Speak Now album.
