Shopping for clothes can be a frustrating experience for women, with the wide variation in sizes among brands meaning they something like a size 12 in one store could be the same as a size 4 in another. That means sometimes having to try on an armful of clothes just to find the right size. The New York Times reported yesterday (April 25th) on a new company called MyBestFit that’s trying to make things easier with 20-second full-body scans that tell women shoppers what size they need in different brands. MyBestFit is setting up kiosks in shopping malls that women step into fully clothed and that use low-power radio waves to record about 200,000 body measurements. The system then matches the measurements to clothes in its database and gives customers a printout of the sizes at each store that ought to fit them best. MyBestFit currently uses clothing measurements from about 50 stores, including Old Navy, Eddie Bauer and Talbots.

Greetings my fellow Memphians!
Hope you had a great Easter weekend! We sure did.  Amanda and I Took in a concert and spent the night at one my favorite hotels in the world, Hollywood Casino Hotel. I have to take a minute here to tell you my relationship with Charlie Brown and his awesome staff at Hollywood goes back clear to the beginning, and they are untouchable when it comes to great food, friendly people and fun! Year after year they deliver a standard of excellence that is rare these days. On the way down we stopped at our secret spot of culinary decadence that I have just GOT to share with you. Friends, if you havent had chicken from a Dodge’s Store, it’s an experience that you have to have. I’ll warn you up front though, it can be addicting. You think the best fried chicken in America can’t be found in a gas station/convenience store? Oh my you are wrong my friend! Dodge’s menu features such sinful delights as hot boneless wings, fried pizza sticks, big potato logs called “jojos”, fried corn on the cob and the best biscuits on the planet. The Dodge’s we stopped at was on South 3rd just north of the state line. There’s also one on Elvis Presley Blvd and one in Olive Branch too. Dodge’s is so sinfully good, you’ll need to spend a week in church. I kid you not. Look ‘em up soon! Hey, don’t forget our Listener Lunch Wednesday! Free food and drink for everyone! Have a great week and keep it on The River! :-) Bill

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins will have two nurseries — one on each coast! Mariah allowed Life&Style Magazine to get a peak at the nurseries in both her Bel-Air mansion, as well as her New York apartment. The star expressed how she mirrored the rooms after two of her fans favorite songs.

Greetings my fellow Memphians!
After a few showers, it looks like we’re in for another great weekend! There’s lots going on too. We’ll all be on hand Saturday morning at 10am for the big Easter Eggstravaganza at Hope Church at 8500 Walnut Grove. It promises to be big fun for kids of all ages with a puppet show, and egg hunt and more! Then I’ll be on hand for a live broadcast at my favorite Kroger store on Mendenhall at Sanderlin from 2 to 4pm. Come on by and say hi and check out this incredible store! Sunday I think we’ll check out the Rajun Cajun crawfish festival downtown. Of course it’s time to mow the lawn again and catch up on some landscaping too. Firing up the backyard Bannister grill doesn’t sound too bad either. Whatever you and your family have on tap for the weekend, be safe and enjoy! :-) Bill
